Role Summary:
We are looking for a UX Experience Lead to provide end-to-end, human-centred UX leadership for a major transformation of the existing procurement. This role is not focused on UI design or screen-level execution, but rather fills a critical gap in experience ownership, user-centric decision leadership, and change-management UX. The UX Experience Lead will act as a credible, authoritative guide for experience decisions across teams, helping align stakeholders, reduce friction, and ground UX direction in user needs rather than subjective opinion.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Experience Ownership
- Own and guide the entire Front Door user journey, spanning multiple capabilities and features
- Ensure experiences are cohesive and consistent across teams, rather than optimised in isolation
- Identify and help resolve cross-feature dependencies, experience gaps, and disconnects
User Centric Decision Leadership
- Anchor UX direction in user needs, behaviours, and pain points
- Guide the definition and use of user interviews, focus groups, and feedback loops
- Help the team interpret and apply user insights to real product decisions
Change & Friction Management
- Anticipate user friction introduced by transitioning from a legacy experience to a new one
- Advise on experience patterns that reduce resistance, confusion, and cognitive load
- Help teams proactively address adoption risks before they surface in production
Alignment & Authority
- Provide a clear UX point of view when multiple internal opinions exist
- Act as a trusted subject matter expert whose guidance can be confidently followed
- Help move UX discussions from subjective debate to principled, experience-based decisions
Collaboration & Enablement
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Business stakeholders
- Complement existing internal UX and UI development capabilities
- Help teams become more self-reliant and mature in experience, over time
Required Skill Set & Experience
Core UX Expertise
- Proven experience leading end-to-end, user-centred experience design
- Strong background in human-centred design, beyond visual or interaction design
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex, enterprise-scale workflows
Systems & Domain Thinking
- Strong systems thinking—understanding how changes affect the full user journey
- Ability to rapidly understand new domains and operate effectively in ambiguity
- Experience working on products with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Research & Validation
- Experience conducting or guiding user interviews, usability validation, and feedback synthesis into actionable direction
- Ability to balance user insights with delivery and organisational constraints
