Role Overview
An experienced system engineer and administrator is needed to provide Linux engineering, software integration, and administration within an automated cloud provisioning environment. As a member of the engineering team, this role is responsible for refining and incorporating new software on top of a secured baseline configuration. The position involves managing multiple priority projects and making recommendations to maintain the enterprise baseline in support of IT infrastructure standardization and automated operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Linux engineering, software integration, and system administration.
- Refine and incorporate new software onto the established, secured Linux baseline.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
- Make recommendations for the approval of major systems installations.
- Prepare milestone status reports and presentations on the system concept.
- May perform daily supervision and provide direction to support staff.
- Recommend, implement, and defend decisions that maintain the enterprise baseline.
Required Qualifications
Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance as a condition or continuation of employment.
Education: A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in a technical or engineering field is required. In lieu of a degree, five (5) additional years of related experience will be considered.
Experience: Ten (10) or more years of technical experience analyzing and designing computer systems is required.
Technical Skills:- Experience working on multiple OS platforms, including Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS.
- Familiarity with different layers of the technology stack, including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions.

Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $68.00/hr to $83.00/hr. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and the specific requirements of the role.
