Job Overview:

• The client is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Financial Group team by assisting with the development of state and/or federal documentation, policies and procedures, financial reports, applications, staffing resource tracking, and system requirements.
• This role will support project research, labor budgeting and spending analysis, technical writing, document review, and process improvement initiatives.
• The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, documentation, financial reporting, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain confidentiality in a remote work environment.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data tracking, reporting, and/or data validation.
• 3+ years of experience documenting, reviewing, improving, and communicating business processes.
• 3+ years of accounting operational processing or budget development experience, including budget analysis and recommendations based on historical spending and research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and comparing multiple data sources.
• Experience developing documents based on information gathered from multiple subject matter experts and research.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet externally imposed deadlines, including state or federal deadlines.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Experience:

• Experience developing state and/or federal documentation, policies, procedures, reports, and planning documents.
• Experience researching projects and programs related to proposals and required documentation.
• Experience tracking, evaluating, and reporting labor budgeting and spending.
• Experience with technical writing, editing, and proofreading of correspondence, communications, presentations, and formal documents.
• Experience working with management and project teams to gather requirements and support training material development.
• Experience in recommending business process improvements.
• Experience working remotely and staying on task in an independent environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing state and/or federal documentation, policies and procedures, financial reports, applications, staffing resource tracking, and system requirements.
• Research projects and programs related to proposals and documentation.
• Track, evaluate, and report labor budgeting and spending.
• Perform technical and detailed writing, editing, and proofreading of correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
• Research, assist in development, and perform technical reviews on federal financial proposals, reports, and planning documents within required timelines.
• Work closely with agency management and project teams to understand project requirements.
• Assist with the development of training materials.
• Recommend related process improvements based on business needs and project findings.
• Organize materials and complete writing assignments according to agency standards for order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Utilize computer applications and critical thinking skills to support documentation and reporting activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.

Should Have:

• Prior experience writing financial request documents and/or justifications in a governmental environment.
• Working knowledge of government regulations related to grant proposals and planning document writing processes.
• Prior experience preparing healthcare information technology proposals or working in a healthcare technology environment.
• Prior experience with writing, proofreading, and editing formal business documents.
• Prior experience with budgeting, accounting, and/or human resource systems.
