Position: Salesforce Data Engineer / Data Analyst
Duration: 6 months with extension Possible
Location: Remote, United States only. All access to State systems and data must be from within the Contiguous United States.
Role Summary
The Data Engineer / Analyst will support data migration, data mapping, data transformation, data quality, reporting, dashboards, analytics, and auditability for the Salesforce CRM implementation. The role will work with OCM, ITS, business analysts, architects, and developers to migrate legacy data from Excel, SharePoint, BigQuery, APIs, and other sources into Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze legacy data sources and document source-to-target mappings.
- Support migration of historical data related to applications, licenses, permits, complaints, compliance actions, inspections, labs, sampling firms, and research licenses.
- Extract, transform, cleanse, validate, and load data into Salesforce environments.
- Support data migration into non-production and production environments.
- Prepare data quality, quantity, error, validation, and reconciliation reports.
- Work with OCM on data corrections, missing data, and de-duplication validation.
- Support integration with Google BigQuery / Data Lake, Microsoft SharePoint lists, Excel files, and external APIs.
- Ensure migrated data meets Salesforce data model and business logic requirements.
- Support reporting, dashboards, analytics, filters, exports, geocoding, and map-based reporting.
- Support audit logging, chain of custody, point-in-time snapshots, and eDiscovery reporting.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and compliant records.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in database management, data analysis, data migration, or reporting.
- Experience with data mapping, data transformation, data cleansing, and data validation.
- Experience working with structured data from Excel, SharePoint, databases, APIs, or data warehouses.
- Experience generating reports, dashboards, and analytics.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate and secure records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce data migration experience.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Loader, ETL tools, SQL, BigQuery, or similar tools.
- Experience with public-sector, licensing, compliance, or regulated data.
- Experience with audit logs, data retention, eDiscovery, or chain-of-custody requirements.
- Experience with reporting tools and dashboard configuration.
