Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Business Analyst to act as the vital link between Finance and Technology. In this role, you will support the design, development, and optimization of custom financial systems, ensuring complex business requirements are translated into seamless technical solutions.

Core Responsibilities

Bridge the Gap: Partner with stakeholders to translate financial needs into functional specifications and user stories.
System Optimization: Analyze existing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency.
Lifecycle Support: Collaborate with developers and QA teams through the entire SDLC.
Data Integrity: Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation (SQL/Excel) to ensure system accuracy.
Testing & Documentation: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and create end-user training materials.

What We're Looking For

7+ years of Business Analysis experience specifically within Finance (General Ledger, Budgeting, Grants, or Financial Reporting).
5+ years working with Custom-built or Configurable Financial Systems.
Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Visio.
Agile Expertise: Solid experience with Scrum/Sprint methodologies.
Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex financial rules to technical teams.

Preferred Extras

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Financials).
Knowledge of APIs, ETL tools, and financial data modeling.
Professional certifications: CBAP, CPA, CFA, or PMI-PBA.
Previous experience in the Public Sector or Government environments.
