Overview The PeriOp Implementation Specialist seasonal supports DSS, Inc.'s mission by delivering exceptional client care, training, and implementation services. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in perioperative care and hands-on experience implementing Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
- Candidates with Operating Room experience is a must to work on this contract. RN or LPN licensure is Required.
- Extensive travel required (road warrior role) Travel primarily to the East and Central Coast
- When not on-site, the role is remote. Must maintain a dedicated home workspace and reliable high-speed internet
The Implementation Specialist will: - Travel includes weekends and holidays when necessary while abiding by Training Services Department Employee Handbook
- Responsible for making travel arrangements in accordance with DSS and Training Services policy
- Creation and delivery of Training Plans, Class Agendas, Web Based Presentations and Training Materials
- Reviews application set up with appropriate staff
- Provide on-site, in person training in both classroom settings and one on one mentoring formats
- Provide on-site support during customer Go Live
- Delivers product demonstrations to potential or existing clients as well as internal staff
- Submits signed, on-site certification documents upon completion of training
- Timely and accurate submission of Training Reports, monthly expenses and timekeeping
- Assists Product Training Coordinator with scheduling onsite and remote training to be completed within contracted timeline

Security and Privacy duties and responsivities Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training

- 3+ years prior software implementation experience
- Prior EMR / EHR implementation
- Skilled in client process and training activities with 100% client focus and strong commitment to following up on client issues until resolution
- Ability to identify the importance or impact of issues and situations occurring within a clients workflow process and takes appropriate actions to suggest or introduce alternative processes or resolutions (i.e. workflow process consulting)
- Ability to effectively organize time while identifying barriers to progress, proposing solutions and setting priorities
- Excellent listening skills and clear and concise presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Aptitude for understanding technical processes and the ability to learn new software as needed
- Hands on implementation experience in a hospital or clinical setting
Preferred Skills: - Prior VA Experience
- E-Learning development
- Fluent in the terminology used in the technical specialty that the product has been designed to support.
Education: Required: Bachelor's degree
- Nursing degree - RN or LPN preferred
- Equivalent experience or combination of education and experience considered
Perferred: - Professional training in a medical discipline
- Prior VA or commercial Implementation experience
Years of experience in a similar role: Required: 3+ years prior clinical software implementation experience
Desired: Prior VA experience
