Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to lead and facilitate Agile delivery for insurance domain projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Scrum practices, Jira, and stakeholder collaboration, with the ability to proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments. Prior exposure to Insurance domain and Guidewire PolicyCenter is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and best practices
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:
Sprint Planning
Daily Stand-ups
Sprint Reviews
Retrospectives
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and client counterparts to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery expectations
Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and drive resolution/escalation as needed
Maintain clear and structured documentation of issues, risks, and dependencies, ensuring visibility to stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process optimizations
Track and manage sprint progress using Jira, ensuring accurate backlog grooming, sprint tracking, and reporting
Ensure teams follow Agile metrics and KPIs (velocity, burn-down charts, cycle time, etc.)
Support release planning and coordinate across multiple teams when required
Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability
Required Skills
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
Hands-on expertise with Jira (boards, dashboards, reporting, workflows)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to confidently identify, articulate, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
Strong facilitation and coaching skills
Experience working in client-facing roles
Solid understanding of Agile metrics and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Insurance domain (P&C preferred)
Exposure to Guidewire PolicyCenter (implementation/support projects)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is a plus
Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe or similar frameworks)
