Note: Candidate needs to be in the office 3-4 Days every week. Local or candidates from adjacent states only.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to lead and facilitate Agile delivery for insurance domain projects.
• The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Scrum practices, Jira, and stakeholder collaboration, with the ability to proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments.
• Prior exposure to Insurance domain and Guidewire PolicyCenter is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a servant leader and coach for Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and best practices
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies:

• Sprint Planning
• Daily Stand-ups
• Sprint Reviews
• Retrospectives
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and client counterparts to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery expectations
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers, and drive resolution/escalation as needed
• Maintain clear and structured documentation of issues, risks, and dependencies, ensuring visibility to stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and process optimizations
• Track and manage sprint progress using Jira, ensuring accurate backlog grooming, sprint tracking, and reporting
• Ensure teams follow Agile metrics and KPIs (velocity, burn-down charts, cycle time, etc.)
• Support release planning and coordinate across multiple teams when required
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Hands-on expertise with Jira (boards, dashboards, reporting, workflows)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to confidently identify, articulate, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills
• Experience working in client-facing roles
• Solid understanding of Agile metrics and reporting
• Experience in Insurance domain (P&C preferred)
• Exposure to Guidewire PolicyCenter (implementation/support projects)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is a plus
• Experience working in scaled Agile environments (SAFe or similar frameworks)
