Construction - QA/QC Program Engineer V

Location: Montgomery, Alabama (Onsite)

COMPENSATION: $89- $99 HOURLY

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA/QC Program Engineer to develop and monitor quality program metrics for construction projects. This role involves analyzing metrics to identify trends, developing QA/QC processes, and interfacing between design, construction, safety, and facility operations teams. The position requires providing training, auditing activities, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor quality program metrics to evaluate project performance.
  • Analyze metrics to understand the root cause of trends and work with parties to implement corrections.
  • Assist with the development of the on-site partner's construction QA and QC team.
  • Develop QA/QC processes and standards to enable efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Interface between design, construction, safety, and facility operations teams and general contractors.
  • Provide training to personnel regarding quality procedures and specific responsibilities.
  • Audit QA/QC activities of staff and subcontractors to assess conformance.
  • Examine submittals for quality assurance and provide comments to ensure compliance.
  • Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with requirements.
  • Develop, review, and approve quality documentation such as procedures, matrices, and checklists.
  • Recommend and verify corrective and preventive actions for project non-conformances.
  • Review commissioning agent scripts and provide feedback.
  • Assist the construction manager in the review of turnover documentation and commissioning schedules.
  • Attend factory witness tests for equipment and systems.
  • Provide onsite visual inspection for construction quality control.
Required Qualifications

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control & quality assurance (QA/QC) programs for data centers or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Experience with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build construction programs.
  • Experience in civil/structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines.
  • Experience leading QA/QC and commissioning (Cx) programs.
  • Experience in contractor, consultant, and vendor management.
  • Experience in mission-critical power and cooling infrastructure or other critical systems.
