IT Project Manager – Data & Analytics

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the Data & Analytics workstream of a large-scale enterprise technology modernization program within the financial services industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, preferably supporting data engineering, data architecture, cloud platforms, system integrations, or enterprise data modernization initiatives.

This role will focus on coordinating cross-functional technical teams, tracking project deliverables, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams. The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive project execution in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Data & Analytics project activities, ensuring alignment between Snowflake development, retrofit initiatives, and the overall Integrated Project Plan.

• Track Snowflake development progress across new and existing environments, monitoring milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and potential risks.

• Manage data delivery pipeline reports, providing regular updates on project progress, outstanding issues, and key deliverables.

• Maintain Jira boards across multiple technical teams, ensuring accurate tracking of tasks, sprint activities, milestones, and dependencies.

• Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and executive-level reporting materials.

• Lead weekly coordination meetings with data engineering and architecture teams to review progress, resolve issues, and escalate risks.

• Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across technical workstreams.

• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, project risks, issues, and action items to support timely delivery.

• Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and program leadership.

• Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog management, and overall project execution.

Required Qualifications

• Several years of IT project management experience, preferably supporting data engineering, data architecture, integrations, or enterprise technology modernization projects.

• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams, including data engineers, developers, architects, and business stakeholders.

• Working knowledge of data architecture, data flows, APIs, system integrations, databases, and reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern data platforms.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and Scrum practices.

• Hands-on experience with Jira for project tracking, sprint management, and reporting.

• Experience developing and maintaining project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and executive-level presentations.

• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, drive accountability, and escalate issues effectively.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate technical workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Snowflake implementations, cloud data engineering, or data platform modernization initiatives.

• Experience with data migration, data integration, or legacy system modernization.

• Previous involvement in large-scale enterprise transformation programs.

• Financial services or banking industry experience.

• PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or similar project management certification.
