Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Electromechanical Technician. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting advanced material handling equipment. The position requires a professional who can ensure the operational readiness of automated systems within a dynamic environment. The technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, problem resolution, and maintaining a safe workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete and document preventative maintenance routines.
- Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
- Create and manage work orders, detailing labor hours and parts used.
- Develop training plans for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, and relays.
- Maintain working relationships across the operations facility.
- Track and store department inventory.
- Move items up to 49 lbs and stand for shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of electro-mechanical experience.
- Associate degree or equivalent training.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with automated systems and controls.
- 3+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
- 3+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance.
- 3+ years of experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Familiarity with MHE safety standards.
- Project management experience.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.
