Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support documentation and modernization initiatives for multiple enterprise applications and home-grown systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Data Mapping, Data Modeling, Agile methodologies, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication.
This role involves working closely with business leaders, SMEs, technical teams, and project stakeholders to analyze existing systems, document workflows, gather requirements, and support modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Work directly with business stakeholders, SMEs, developers, and technical teams
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and design documentation
- Perform data mapping and data modeling activities for modernization initiatives
- Document workflows, business processes, and system interactions
- Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
- Support Agile delivery teams throughout the SDLC lifecycle
- Assist with testing coordination, issue tracking, and validation activities
- Track project risks, issues, timelines, and status updates
- Participate in database analysis and forms analysis when required
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams
- Support project governance standards, reporting, and documentation processes
Required Skills & Experience Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with Data Mapping and Data Modeling
- Experience working on large and complex IT systems
- Expertise in requirements gathering, user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies and Agile practices
- Experience managing stakeholder expectations and project priorities
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Azure DevOps (ADO), TFS, Jira, RTC, or other ALM tools
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or relational databases
- Microsoft development platforms and software
- Process mapping and workflow documentation tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with information management practices and architecture analysis
- Experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
