Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Full Stack Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role will support backend services and UI components for mortgage servicing and underwriting platforms. The ideal candidate will focus on building scalable APIs and decisioning services that power loan processing and customer interactions, with a primary focus on backend Java development (~70%) and some contribution to frontend components (~30%).
Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and services
- Build and enhance backend APIs and microservices
- Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks
- Work across the full SDLC including development, testing, and automation
- Develop services supporting loan servicing, underwriting, and decisioning workflows
- Integrate systems using Kafka, REST APIs, and messaging frameworks
- Participate in test automation and quality engineering efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Requirements: - Hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs)
- Full stack development experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular (preferred) or React
- Experience with API development (JSON/XML) and microservices architecture
- Understanding of messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka)
- Experience participating in testing and automation efforts
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience
Desired skills: - Experience in banking or financial services, especially mortgage
- Familiarity with distributed systems and high-volume data processing
- Exposure to AI/ML tools, LLMs, or modern development tooling
Pay range: $31.09 - $39.09 per hour
