Summary

Junior IT Help Desk Support
Location: Coraopolis, PA
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $18/hr
 
We are seeking a  IT Junior Help Desk Support to provide desktop, retail, and user application support in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage support requests efficiently using ticketing systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop and client support for Windows laptops/desktops, MacBooks, and servers, including imaging and setup
  • Support retail technology including registers, pin pads, and handheld devices
  • Troubleshoot basic user and application issues such as password resets (Active Directory), multi-factor authentication, and VPN connectivity
  • Log, track, and resolve issues using ticketing systems
  • Document support activities and create technical reports and knowledge base materials
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware including desktops, laptops, and printers
  • Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues
Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills with clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to de-escalate issues and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Experience working in a support or help desk environment
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS)
  • Familiarity with application software and troubleshooting
  • Experience supporting desktop/laptop hardware and peripherals
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems and IT documentation
 
Schedule & Training
Candidates would start training on a Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm schedule (4-6 weeks), but once training has concluded, they need to have flexibility to work any shift based on business need and other staffing changes. We go to great lengths to keep teammates on a more permanent shift and limit changes to their schedule, but reserve the right to make adjustments as needed (applies to both FTE and contracted teammates).
 
Service Desk Hours & Shifts
  • Support hours:
    • Monday–Saturday: 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM
    • Sunday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Shifts vary within those hours and typically follow one of these schedules:
    • Sunday–Thursday
    • Tuesday–Saturday
Work Model (Hybrid / Remote)
  • If your shift starts before 11:00 AM:
    • Work in-office Tuesday–Thursday
    • Work remote on other days
  • If your shift starts at 11:00 AM or later:
    • Work fully remote
