Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated IT Project Manager/Lead Business Analyst (IT PM/BA) with experience leading large projects from inception to completion, particularly those related to Case Management and/or Healthcare applications. The IT PM/BA will be responsible for leading projects for applications that support investigations, quality management, operations, and legal business units. This role involves working with stakeholders to initiate, plan, and manage projects for new or enhanced applications, including creating project plans, monitoring progress, coordinating resources, and documenting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, document, and manage the project plan throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess issues and risks to prevent potential barriers to the project and develop mitigation strategies.
- Lead reviews with stakeholders of project plans, schedules, and milestone dates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document the project scope and objectives.
- Develop and document business requirements.
- Prepare design proposals and systems specifications for complex systems or major systems modifications.
- Lead design sessions for prototyping new systems or major enhancements to improve business processes and information flow.
- Create and maintain project artifacts such as project charters, plans, backlogs, status reports, and operational checklists.
- Assist in business process redesign efforts and inform leadership of improvements.
- Support the vendor selection process, including preparing documentation and facilitating decision-making.
- Perform vendor management duties, including coordinating requests and tracking enhancement requests.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in IT environments is required. Candidates should have practical experience creating and implementing project plans and conducting requirements gathering with business teams.
Technical Skills: Candidates must have hands-on experience with MS Office tools and a working knowledge of project management concepts as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI). An understanding of Agile methodology and the software development life cycle (SDLC) is also necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Government or Healthcare experience is preferred.
Work Environment
This position follows a hybrid model, combining in-office workdays and remote work as needed. Occasional travel to regional Massachusetts offices is expected. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
