- Serve as an Information Technology Specialist (APPSW/SYSADMIN), Configuration Management Team Lead within the SAP Platform, Technical Environment and Application Support Portfolio (J62XF).
- Provide expert technical support for release management/change management migration services and testing support for Enterprise Business System (EBS) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) sustainment projects involving non-SAP and SAP components.
- Plans, organizes, and carries out assignments, coordinates work with others, determines the approach and methodology to be used, and keeps the supervisor appraised of potential problems.
- Directs operations utilizing a thorough knowledge of infrastructure support tools and techniques and the hardware and software used in the DLA production and development environments.
- Ensure the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.

QualificationsTo qualify for a Lead IT Specialist (APPSW/SYSADMIN) your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
?? Applies systems administration, applications software, and configuration management concepts, practices, principles, standards, processes, methods, practices, and tools as it pertains to SAP Release Management; UNIX command and vi editor basics; software configuration management models
?? Analyze benefits and costs of in-house versus contract work, develop/provide technical requirements and descriptions of the work to be accomplished; plan and establish the work schedules, deadlines and standards for acceptable work; coordinate and integrate contractor work schedules.
?? Provides release management services for software development projects for Enterprise systems.
?? Designs, develops, implements, and maintains procedures across organization to establish an audit trail for traceability within the organization in support of mission to develop and supply software applications for the support of organization.

Drug-Free Workplace PolicyThe Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is committed to maintaining a safe, drug-free workplace. All DLA employees are required to refrain from illegal drug use on and off duty. DLA conducts pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, and random drug testing.
Applicants tentatively selected for employment in testing designated positions will undergo a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Refusal to undergo testing or testing positive for illegal drugs will result in withdrawal of the tentative job offer and a six-month denial of employment with DLA from the date of the drug test.
