Snowflake Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in Bostonm, MA is seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to support the development and implementation of data interfaces within a modern, cloud-based Snowflake data platform.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines within the Snowflake platform
* Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading
* Perform data analysis, mapping, transformation, and data modeling aligned with data warehousing best practices
* Develop and manage database objects such as schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and indexes
* Ensure performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of Snowflake workloads
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a distributed Agile environment

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in data engineering with strong SQL expertise
* Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques
* Experience building pipelines and managing data ingestion into/from Snowflake
* Proficiency in backend development, including schema and database design
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure and Snowflake ecosystems
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
* Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including:
* SQL scripting
* Data loading/unloading
* Snowpipe
* Performance tuning and optimization

Preferred/nice to have:
* Experience with ETL tools such as Matillion
* Domain knowledge of utilities or billing systems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
