Maintenance & Operations Manager (Fast Track to Plant Manager) Direct Hire Location: Brookhaven, MS
Compensation: $115,000 - $140,000 (Relocation Package Available)
We are seeking a
Maintenance & Operations Manager to join our client's leadership team in
Brookhaven, Mississippi. This is a
high-visibility, fast-track role designed to develop into a
Plant Manager position. The role will oversee both
maintenance and production operations at a small manufacturing facility and will report directly to the
Director of Operations / Plant Manager.
This position is ideal for a hands-on operations leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment and is ready to take the next step toward full plant leadership.
Responsibilities: - Lead and oversee maintenance and production operations, ensuring equipment reliability, uptime, and safe, efficient manufacturing output.
- Manage and develop a team of frontline supervisors and technicians, building a strong performance- and accountability-driven culture.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance, production efficiency, safety, and cost control.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to support plant performance, strategic initiatives, and succession planning.
- Support the implementation of new processes, systems, and production capabilities, including the introduction of new products.
- Maintain responsibility for operational KPIs, quality standards, and cost controls.
- Serve as a key operational leader and representative for the facility within the local Mississippi market.
- Prepare for progression into full Plant Manager responsibilities, including broader site leadership and operational ownership.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- 8-15+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with direct exposure to both maintenance and production leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve plant performance, and drive operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance strategies, production workflows, and manufacturing KPIs.
- Experience working closely with senior leadership and readiness to step into expanded plant-level responsibility.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
