Informatica Administrator / Developer

THIS POSITION IS HYBRID WITH THREE DAYS IN BOSTON, MA. NO C2C

Job Summary:

The selected candidate will be the system administrator across the Informatica suite of products. This includes but is not limited to Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Master Data Management (MDM), and Informatica Data Quality (IDQ). This role will require the ability to take on platform ownership, support and administrator responsibility for the multiple products on Windows environments.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Administration and support of Informatica PowerCenter, MDM, and IDQ on premise environments. Includes installation and configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting issues related to each environment that are running on Windows.
2. Support Application Development and end-user teams in debugging issues found with Informatica processes that first level support cannot address.
3. Install and configure new products and components, stand up new environments, and act as a point person for upgrades.
4. Monitor change control for impending infrastructure work that may impact environment availability which includes things like server and database patching, disaster recovery events, and upgrades.
5. Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, deployment diagrams and checklists.
6. Interact with vendors in related technology stacks.
7. Knowledge of systems, application architecture, data warehouse architecture, and data modeling.
8. In instances where there is downtime, serve as a development resource.
9. Performs additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience administering Informatica applications including PowerCenter, Data Quality (IDQ), and Master Data Management (MDM).
3. Must have the ability to look at complete architecture that an application uses which includes server operating system, network infrastructure, data storage, and back-end database(s) and use this information for installation and troubleshooting purposes.
4. Solid background in Oracle databases, understanding basic architecture, security configuration, and have SQL skills.
5. Familiarity with MS SQL Server databases as well as Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
6. Integrating with third-party systems, both hosted and on-prem.
7. Hands-on Informatica upgrade experience.
8. Scripting knowledge, preferably in PowerShell, Python, or Perl.
9. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Extremely Detail Oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Familiar with Active Directory/LDAP, and Windows configurations.
