Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role focuses on developing, automating, and executing comprehensive test cases for UI and database changes within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will leverage tools like Selenium/Tosca, write complex SQL queries, and work collaboratively with development teams to ensure software quality and track defects.
Responsibilities: - Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
- Contribute to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
- Automate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca
- Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
- Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results
- Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
- Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
- Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
- Take ownership in end-to-end testing
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing timely solutions
- Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation
- Ensure that all standards and processes are being implemented within projects
Requirements: - Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math)
- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing
- Experience with Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database
- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changes
- Experience with Autosys job scheduling
- Able to write and execute Unix commands
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins
- Experience with Oracle and Teradata databases
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)
- Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)
- Hands-on Agile experience

- Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
- Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities

- Experience in Banking domain
Pay range: $50.42 - $58.42 per hour
