About the Role

We are seeking a Platform Specialty Engineer to help build and operate enterprise-scale AI and cloud platform capabilities that accelerate innovation across the organization. In this role, you'll partner with engineering, data, infrastructure, and AI teams to create reusable platform services, improve developer experiences, and enable scalable adoption of AI-powered solutions.

You will drive operational excellence through automation, observability, release management, and cloud-native engineering practices while helping onboard new AI and data initiatives into a governed, secure ecosystem.

This is an opportunity to shape foundational platform capabilities that support enterprise data modernization and AI transformation efforts.
What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native platform services that enable enterprise AI and data solutions.
  • Develop reusable infrastructure and platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple business and technology teams.
  • Streamline onboarding processes for AI, machine learning, and data-driven applications.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to improve platform reliability and operational resilience.
  • Drive release management, configuration management, and deployment automation best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish standardized platform patterns and engineering frameworks.
  • Improve platform scalability, governance, security, and performance through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support enterprise AI adoption by enabling consistent and governed consumption of data and AI services.
  • Contribute to modernization efforts by reducing technology duplication and expanding centralized platform capabilities.
  • Partner with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize platform operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building and operating cloud-native applications and platforms.
  • Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in:
    • Python
    • Java
    • One additional programming language such as Go, Rust, JavaScript, or similar
  • Experience designing and implementing distributed systems and scalable platform architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and platform operations.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and incident management practices.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and drive initiatives from concept through production.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing Generative AI (GenAI) solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML workflows, model deployment, and platform enablement.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms and modernization programs.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, governance, and secure platform design.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or government.
  • Track record of building reusable developer platforms and self-service capabilities.
