Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to join our IT Application Development team. This role requires someone who can build from the ground up — designing, establishing, and operationalizing new Marketing Cloud Engagement capabilities, frameworks, and workflows with minimal existing structure. The selected candidate will serve as the technical subject matter expert for all Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy customer journeys within Marketing Cloud using Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder
• Lead end-to-end delivery — requirements review, solution build, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring
• Develop personalized content using AMPscript, SSJS, HTML/CSS, and dynamic data extensions; set up and configure data models
• Manage Marketing Cloud environments — configuration, user roles, security, subscriber model, and data governance standards
• Manage preference centers, subscription management, and regulatory compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
• Configure surveys through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including survey journeys, integrating survey tools (Salesforce Survey, FormAssembly, or external platforms), response capture, and trigger-based follow-up actions
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate marketing requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Create and maintain technical documentation for journeys, data integrations, and automation processes
• Mentor junior Salesforce developers on journey development and data connectivity best practices
• Stay current with Marketing Cloud releases, features, and best practices

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience
• Proven ability to create and optimize customer journeys (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio)
• Strong proficiency in SQL, AMPscript, SSJS, HTML, CSS
• Solid understanding of Marketing Cloud data model (DEs, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact Builder)
• Proven experience in production environments with high-volume campaigns
• Deep knowledge of APIs (REST & SOAP)
• Experience with Marketing Cloud integrations (e.g., Marketing Cloud Connect, Data Cloud)
• Solid understanding of data-driven marketing, personalization, and segmentation strategies

Preferred

• Active Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant)
• Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) for unified profiles, identity resolution, segmentation, and real-time activation
• Experience with Salesforce CRM or other MarTech ecosystem tools
• Working knowledge of multi-cloud architecture and enterprise integrations
