VCF 9 Senior Consultant

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced VCF 9 Senior Consultant with hands-on deployment experience in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing VCF environments, with in-depth knowledge of VMware NSX. The consultant will lead enterprise infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, and customer engagements while ensuring best practices and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment and implementation of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 environments.
• Install, configure, and manage core VCF components, including SDDC Manager, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX.
• Execute VCF bring-up, workload domain creation, lifecycle management, upgrades, and patching.
• Design and implement NSX networking, security, micro-segmentation, and distributed services.
• Perform infrastructure assessments, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and virtualization issues.
• Create technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and customer stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers.
• Follow VMware best practices for security, performance, scalability, and availability.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience deploying VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 in enterprise environments (mandatory).
• Strong expertise in VMware NSX (NSX-T), including logical networking, Tier-0/Tier-1 gateways, routing, firewall, load balancing, and micro-segmentation.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, vSAN, and SDDC Manager.
• Experience with VCF lifecycle management, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of networking, storage, virtualization, and data center infrastructure.
• Experience with PowerCLI, scripting, or automation tools is an advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing consulting skills.

Experience

• 8+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years of VMware virtualization experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with VCF 9 deployments and VMware NSX implementations.
