Business Analyst

Position: Business Analyst 

Location: Primarily remote, with mandatory on-site presence on the second Monday of each month.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Engineering: Reverse-engineer legacy applications using AI-assisted code analysis to rapidly draft user stories, process flows, data flow diagrams, and edge-case scenarios.

• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop comprehensive requirements-based test cases (functional, regression, accessibility-specific, and security-focused) and maintain traceability matrices linking scan findings to business processes.

• Accessibility Support: Facilitate WCAG 2.2 accessibility gap analysis and validate fixes against actual business requirements.

• Collaboration: Partner closely with Solutions Management teams, Bureaus, developers, and leadership to build a robust, reusable foundation.

Operational Requirements

• Time Reporting: Submit weekly timesheets in PeopleFluent/VectorVMS by COB Friday.

• Status Reporting: Submit weekly personal status reports on SharePoint by COB Friday.

• Management & Governance: Report to the Solutions Management IT Manager supporting the applications; coordinate multi-thread activities, manage risk, and handle issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst writing business requirements and test cases (or a 4-year college degree/equivalent technical study).

• Proven experience reverse-engineering legacy applications to capture business, functional, and technical requirements.

Skills & Competencies

• AI Tool Integration: Ability to leverage AI tools for rapid drafting of requirements and test cases, alongside strict validation of AI-generated content for accuracy, completeness, and business alignment.

• Documentation & Modeling: Proficient in developing user stories, process flows, data flow diagrams, and traceability matrices.

• Testing & Defect Management: Capable of executing test cases, validating results, documenting defects, and supporting remediation.

• Tools & Platforms:

  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps (work item management, requirements tracking, test case documentation).

  • Experience with SharePoint (document management, collaboration, artifact storage).

  • Strong mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
