Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technology Lead Azure Data Platform to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale cloud data solutions leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in modern data engineering, cloud architecture, and large-scale analytics platforms.
This role requires hands-on technical leadership in designing scalable data architectures, building high-performance data pipelines, implementing data governance frameworks, and driving best practices across the Azure ecosystem. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, analytics teams, and engineering teams to deliver robust data solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Design
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing Azure data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS, and Databricks.
- Define enterprise data lake and lakehouse architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Establish best practices for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption.
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Build and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
- Develop scalable batch and incremental data processing frameworks.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT solutions for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
Data Modeling & Analytics
- Design and manage Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers following Medallion Architecture principles.
- Develop scalable data models supporting enterprise reporting, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure data availability, quality, and performance.
Performance, Security & Governance
- Monitor and optimize data processing workloads for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data governance, security, lineage, and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to organizational data management policies and cloud security best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data platform issues.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams.
- Mentor data engineers and promote engineering excellence across projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of cloud data modernization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of overall IT experience with strong expertise in Data Engineering and Cloud Technologies.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Azure Data Platform services.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and ADLS Gen2.
- Experience building enterprise-scale data lakes and lakehouse solutions.
- Expertise in Delta Lake, Spark, SQL, and distributed data processing.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and modern analytics architectures.
- Experience implementing data governance, security, and performance optimization strategies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
