Job Description

In this contingent assignment, you will provide technical leadership and strategic guidance on complex, large-scale Specialty Software Engineering initiatives. You will analyze multifaceted engineering challenges, evaluate diverse technical factors-including ambiguous or unprecedented conditions-and drive high-quality solutions aligned with functional, policy, and compliance requirements. You will partner closely with client stakeholders to influence technical direction, resolve complex issues, and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Lead technical consultation on high-impact engineering programs involving long-term strategy and large-scale system planning.
  • Review and assess complex technical problems, integrating multiple data points and business considerations to recommend effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the resolution of cross-functional engineering challenges by applying deep knowledge of processes, compliance standards, and organizational best practices.
  • Collaborate with client teams to shape technical strategies, guide decision-making, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across mission-critical platforms.
  • Design and build scalable, reliable services using Python and Java on Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and cloud environments.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in GenAI (Gemini/GPT), LLM evaluation, and agentic frameworks, helping teams adopt and apply advanced AI capabilities.
  • Establish and champion best practices in software architecture, SDLC rigor, and CI/CD automation.
  • Mentor engineering teams to elevate technical quality, engineering standards, and delivery excellence.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering, demonstrated through one or more of the following:
    • Full-time work experience
    • Consulting experience
    • Training or certifications
    • Military experience
    • Relevant education
