Ab Initio Developer

Job Title: Sr. Ab Initio Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC (3days in hybrid model)
Duration: 12+ Months
Payrate: $60-70/hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Ab Initio Developer to support enterprise data initiatives involving migration and modernization of ETL pipelines into a Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery environment. This role requires strong hands-on development experience in Ab Initio, deep expertise in ETL/SQL, and working knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Ab Initio


• Implement ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data processing


• Convert and migrate existing Ab Initio workflows into Google Cloud Platform/BigQuery architecture


• Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting


• Develop and manage data ingestion processes into BigQuery


• Monitor and optimize Google Cloud Platform data processing and storage resources


• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions


• Participate in Agile ceremonies and track work using JIRA


• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across enterprise systems

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience


• 5 8+ years of hands-on Ab Initio development experience


• 2 4+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform


• 2 4+ years of experience with BigQuery


• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT development and SQL


• Experience working in Agile environments using JIRA


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


• Experience working in enterprise-level environments
