Job Overview
Accenture is seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Migration Architect to join a critical cloud transformation initiative supporting an Amazon-focused environment. This role will be responsible for designing and executing large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, with a primary focus on AWS Outposts and hybrid cloud architecture.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic architect and hands-on migration leader, capable of designing target-state infrastructure while also managing high-risk migration events and production cutovers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Architecture & Cloud Design
- Design target-state architectures aligned with AWS best practices.
- Build scalable hybrid cloud infrastructure leveraging AWS Outposts.
- Ensure operational continuity and performance throughout migration phases.
Infrastructure & Datacenter Migration
- Lead complex data, application, and storage migrations from on-premise datacenters to AWS.
- Maintain data integrity, performance, and high availability during migration.
- Plan and execute large-scale infrastructure transformation initiatives.
Hybrid Cloud Deployment
- Architect and deploy AWS Outposts infrastructure to integrate on-premise systems with AWS cloud services.
- Manage hybrid connectivity and integration between on-prem and AWS environments.
Network & Security Architecture
- Design secure AWS VPC architectures and network routing strategies.
- Validate security policies and compliance controls before production cutover.
- Ensure proper governance, risk mitigation, and security validation.
Migration Cutover Leadership
- Lead high-risk production cutovers using:
- Canary deployments
- Flash cutover methodologies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams during migration windows to minimize downtime and business impact.
DevOps & Automation
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate migration workflows and infrastructure provisioning.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as:
- Terraform
- AWS CloudFormation
- Integrate automation tools such as:
- Jenkins
- GitLab
- AWS CodeSuite
Required Skills & Qualifications
AWS & Cloud Expertise
- Deep expertise in the AWS ecosystem with focus on Infrastructure Migration.
- Strong experience with AWS Outposts and hybrid cloud architecture.
Migration Experience
- Proven track record of large-scale datacenter to cloud migrations.
- Experience migrating applications, storage, and data workloads.
Networking & Security
- Strong understanding of:
- VPC architecture
- Network routing
- Security validation and governance
Automation & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools:
- Experience with CI/CD tools:
- Jenkins
- GitLab
- AWS CodeSuite
Consulting & Communication
- Ability to explain complex technical architectures to engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
- Strong consulting mindset and stakeholder management skills.
Travel Requirement
- This role is primarily remote, however candidates must be flexible to travel to client sites for:
- Critical migration milestones
- Architecture workshops
- High-priority cutover windows
