Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Denver, CO.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Business Analyst to support enterprise data and analytics initiatives by gathering requirements, coordinating stakeholder engagement, and facilitating source-system onboarding efforts. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and platform teams to ensure data integration and analytics solutions align with business objectives and operational needs.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for documenting requirements, identifying data sources, supporting prioritization activities, and helping drive successful delivery of Microsoft Fabric-based initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with experience working on data, reporting, and technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:
* Gather, document, and validate business, functional, and data requirements
* Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with business and technical stakeholders
* Support source-system discovery, inventory, and onboarding activities
* Document business processes, data flows, integration requirements, and reporting needs
* Assist with prioritization of data sources, features, and implementation activities
* Track project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items
* Create and maintain requirements documentation, process maps, and project artifacts
* Work with architects and engineers to ensure requirements are translated into technical solutions
* Support testing, user acceptance activities, and solution validation efforts
* Coordinate stakeholder communications and status reporting
* Assist with knowledge transfer, training materials, and operational documentation
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased business value

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology, data, or analytics projects
* Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
* Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills
* Experience creating process flows, requirements documentation, and project artifacts
* Understanding of data integration, reporting, or analytics concepts
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, or enterprise analytics initiatives
* Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies
* Experience with requirements management and collaboration tools
* Knowledge of data governance and business process improvement practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
