ServiceNow Developer

Location: Austin, Texas (4 days onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a ServiceNow Developer with a proven track record in developing, configuring, and customizing ServiceNow applications. This role requires technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile development environment. The ideal candidate will be solution-oriented, capable of not just identifying problems but implementing effective fixes, and able to thrive in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, and AngularJS.
  • Implement client-side and server-side configurations, including business rules, UI policies, scripts, transform maps, scheduled jobs, and scripted REST APIs.
  • Work with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM product suites to design and implement workflows, utilizing Flow Designer and platform best practices.
  • Execute technical solutions as defined by architects while minimizing technical debt.
  • Deliver update sets and support release management in alignment with Agile development methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain ServiceNow AppEngine applications, Workspaces, and Dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address implementation tasks and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Conduct ServiceNow upgrades, patching, regression testing, and remediation.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 5-7 years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB Development. Proven experience developing in ServiceNow, with a strong understanding of its scripting languages and framework.

Technical Skills: Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, and AngularJS. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow core architecture, ITSM, and ITOM product suites. Hands-on experience with workflow configuration, Flow Designer, and other automation tools within ServiceNow. Familiarity with ServiceNow AppEngine, Workspaces, and Dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with source-to-pay processes or a background in the banking/financial industry.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with integrating ServiceNow with external systems using APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
Work Environment

This position requires the candidate to be onsite four days per week.
