GENERAL FUNCTIONThis role designs and implements technology and software solutions as part of an agile squad. Responsibilities include participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to activities spanning architecture, design, development, and delivery. The position models software development best practices and supports communities of practice to refine and document standards.
The role is accountable for managing risk by sharing ideas, raising concerns, and adhering to established policies and procedures. It supports a positive customer and colleague experience by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks within the organization's risk appetite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Design and implement new features while continuously improving the quality of technical products and applications
- Serve as a hands-on developer within an agile squad
- Collaborate with software engineers to define system architectures and design solutions
- Develop software that meets established code quality standards and metrics
- Apply test-driven development practices
- Participate in communities of practice by contributing to standards, reviewing code, and sharing knowledge
- Support operational excellence through automation and development of maintainable, supportable, and testable code
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to enhance service performance
- Stay current with relevant IT trends and technologies
- Assist with issue resolution for end users and customers
- Contribute to the development of operational procedures for software delivery
- Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
