Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Middleware API

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong focus on Middleware API to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in SRE principles and practices, with a proven track record of ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of middleware services. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of API management and integration.

Responsibilities:

· Design, implement, and maintain robust Middleware API solutions to ensure high availability and performance.

· Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.

· Collaborate with development teams to integrate SRE practices into the software development lifecycle.

· Develop and maintain automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

· Establish and enforce best practices for API design, security, and documentation.

· Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts to ensure system reliability.

· Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements based on findings.

· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Mandatory Skills:

· Strong knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.

· Experience with Middleware API technologies and frameworks.

· Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible).

· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

· Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

· Experience with incident management and response processes.

Preferred Skills:

· Knowledge of microservices architecture and API gateways.

· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

· Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

· Understanding of security best practices in API development.

· Experience with performance tuning and optimization of middleware services.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 5-7 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related role.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
