Classification Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work and engage with teens, strong communication skills. The student should have at least one year of undergraduate engineering particularly in areas of design and circuits. Chose candidates will need to complete mandatory youth compliance and security clearance trainings for this role.

Job Description:
Engineering mentors will work on-site at Q.I. Roberts Jr/Sr High School in Florahome, Florida, providing assistance to the instructor of the Introduction to Engineering class. The structure of this class has a 90 minute block once a week where the mentor will travel to the school, attend the class and provide assistance in the hands-on lab, and stay for Power Hour, an hour long lunch and office hours time for the students to receive extra help and further mentorship.

Attend all the block days unless otherwise scheduled, actively participate in the instruction, adding insight and value, answer questions and offer networking availability for the students' post secondary goals.

The hired student will need to provide their own transportation to the school.

Hours are Wednesdays 10:30am-1:15pm for in-class participation. Additional hours may be required in the form of course support or activity preparation.

Expected Salary:
$15 per hour
