Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThis role is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of infrastructure services, including server operating systems, mobile device management (MDM), patch deployment and protection, backup and restoration processes, directory services, and certificate management. The position ensures that core infrastructure platforms remain secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Strategy & Architecture- Develops strategies for infrastructure services that support standards-based directory services, single sign-on solutions, server processing and storage optimization, backup and restoration frameworks, and comprehensive security and patch management capabilities.
- Designs and advances a robust services infrastructure that supports organizational requirements and long-term technology goals.
Engineering & Operations- Maintains and enhances the server environment through effective engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of infrastructure solutions.
- Installs, configures, and maintains cloud-based applications, systems, and related infrastructure components.
- Analyzes business and technical requirements to define specifications, standards, and solution designs.
- Deploys and integrates web-based applications while ensuring compliance with information security standards.
- Architects, deploys, and administers computing services across multiple cloud infrastructure providers.
- Troubleshoots converged infrastructure systems to resolve compute, storage, network, and related issues.
- Performs capacity planning and management for infrastructure solutions and services.
- Monitors system uptime and performance, diagnosing and resolving operational issues.
- Evaluates emerging cloud technologies and assesses their potential value to the organization.
QualificationsTechnical Expertise- Experience with one or more major cloud computing platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with server-level operating systems (Windows and Linux), including engineering, architectural design, and operational support.
- Experience with desktop virtualization technologies.
- Strong background in Windows Active Directory and identity management solutions.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) concepts and practices.
- Ability to work with a wide range of open-source technologies and cloud services (AWS experience required).
- Understanding of scripting and programming languages such as PHP, Python, Perl, PowerShell, and/or Ruby.
- Expertise in automated build and deployment processes and tools.
- Experience designing and monitoring cloud-based solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of distributed version control systems, particularly Git.
Work Approach- Experience working within Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
