As one of the newest Chenega companies, Chenega Defense & Aerospace Solutions (CDAS) was developed with the purpose of providing expert Engineering and Technical Support Services to federal customers.

The Growth and Operations Lead is responsible for supporting the CDASs government growth objectives through customer engagement, opportunity identification, market research, and coordination in support of various opportunities. This role serves as a forward-facing representative with federal customers and industry partners. This position can work in a team environment or independently, represent the company professionally in customer-facing settings, and collaborate closely with leadership, capture, proposal, and operations teams.

Responsibilities
  • Engage directly with U.S. Government and commercial customers as a trusted team representative to support relationship development and opportunity shaping.
  • Participate in customer meetings, industry days, conferences, and technical exchanges in coordination with BD leadership and capture teams.
  • Gather and communicate customer insights, mission needs, and acquisition plans to internal stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new opportunities, recompetes, and emerging requirements across assigned agencies.
  • Review RFIs, sources sought, and draft solicitations to support opportunity qualification and competitiveness assessments.
  • Track customer, competitor, and industry activity and provide summarized insights to the BD team.
  • Support capture activities by contributing customer intelligence, win themes, partner research, and solution input.
  • Provide proposal support, including content contribution, reviews, and compliance checks as requested.
  • Assist with teaming and partner coordination efforts under the direction of BD or capture leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with BD, capture, proposals, operations, contracts, and finance teams to align customer needs with company capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and activity information in the company pipeline and tracking tools.
  • Assist with the development of capability statements, customer briefings, and marketing materials.
  • Support postaward and debrief activities by capturing lessons learned and customer feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting business development, capture, or proposal efforts.
  • Experience engaging directly with customers or partners
  • Background check

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally.
  • Ability to succeed as an individual contributor within a collaborative, teambased
  • Ability to understand and articulate customer missions, priorities, and acquisition planning across defense, intelligence, and/or federal civilian agencies.
  • Knowledge of business development lifecycle activities, including market research, opportunity identification, shaping, capture support, and proposals.
  • Working knowledge of marketing and positioning concepts, including capability messaging, differentiation, and customerfocused communications.
