Job Description :

The Program / Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing multiple IT and public health projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource utilization, and clear communication with stakeholders. This role works closely with senior leadership and technical teams to plan, track, and successfully execute projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 7 or more IT projects at the same time
• Plan project schedules, assign tasks, and track milestones
• Work with senior leadership to prioritize projects
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans
• Facilitate meetings and coordinate project activities
• Track project progress, performance, and budgets
• Communicate status and updates to stakeholders and leadership
• Ensure use of standard project management best practices
• Create and maintain project, system, and process documentation
• Support business process improvements and performance analysis

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in business, public health, or related field or equivalent experience
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP or equivalent)
• 5+ years managing IT projects
• 5+ years managing multiple projects or project portfolios
• Experience with FHIR standards and API implementations
• Knowledge of public health data systems
• Experience documenting IT systems and procedures
• 3+ years of business process improvement experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a State Government IT environment
• Experience with RFP/RFI analysis and responses
