Job Details
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced and highly organized Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys and practice teams in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a client-service-driven setting and enjoys managing multiple priorities while supporting high-level legal work.
The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide administrative, document production, and operational support across a variety of legal practice areas. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and presentations with a high level of accuracy
Format documents using advanced Microsoft Word features, including styles, tables of contents, and document comparison tools
Manage document revisions, markups, and version control efficiently
Coordinate calendars, scheduling, meetings, and attorney support needs
Assist with workflow management and administrative projects
Maintain organized electronic and physical files
Support multiple attorneys and practice groups while balancing competing deadlines
Demonstrate initiative and adaptability in a high-volume legal environment
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
Communicate clearly and professionally via email, phone, and in person
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience within a law firm or legal environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with legal document management and workflow systems preferred
Excellent organizational, proofreading, and multitasking skills
Ability to prioritize work independently and adapt to changing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Professional demeanor with sound judgment and discretion
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with legal billing, conflicts, document management, or workflow software
Experience supporting multiple attorneys or practice groups
Exposure to large law firm or mid-size firm environments preferred
