Role Overview
This role will lead and manage the monthly onboarding of software titles for the Software and Hardware Asset Management (SAM/HAM) Program. The position involves ensuring each title is evaluated for compliance, licensing, and security requirements. The Senior IT Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and IT Security to coordinate onboarding activities, oversee the end-to-end workflow, and drive operational improvements and process automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding of approximately six software titles per month.
- Lead and support Hardware Asset Management (HAM) activities.
- Coordinate with software owners, vendors, and IT Security to facilitate approvals.
- Oversee the transition from manual processes to an automated tracking workflow in ServiceNow.
- Maintain comprehensive SAM documentation, including internal team materials and user-facing knowledge articles.
- Develop and prepare program reports and presentations for leadership.
- Document requirements for automating the onboarding workflow in ServiceNow.
- Build and maintain financial models, usage reports, and forecasting tools for budgeting.
- Develop audit strategies, governance frameworks, and deprecation processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of six years of IT project management experience is required, with at least four years of combined experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
Technical Skills: Deep expertise in IT Asset Management (ITAM), including catalog management and license optimization. A working knowledge of ServiceNow for ITAM/ITSM workflows and a strong understanding of software licensing models are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building enterprise ITAM programs, including tool selection and governance.
- A background in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
- Experience with ServiceNow, SAM, HAM, and software deployment is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $70.00 to $85.00 per hour. Please note that the final pay rate will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications. A benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
