Role Overview:
This position is focused on providing operational support for the Workers’ Compensation site, ensuring high availability, system stability, and minimal downtime. The primary responsibility is to keep the environment running smoothly through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance. This is not an engineering-heavy role requiring advanced containerization expertise such as Kubernetes or Docker. The organization is not currently operating in a containerized environment. Instead, they are seeking someone who is comfortable in a steady-state support role—focused on reliability, maintenance, and long-term operational stability. They are looking for a candidate interested in committing to this type of work for the full 12-month duration of the assignment.
CLIENT WRITTEN JOB DESCRIPTION:
The DevOps Engineer is a key participant in the selection, design, implementation and on-going operation of the infrastructure environment and resources both on premises and in the Azure cloud. This includes engaging with other infrastructure staff, development staff and/or consultants in developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing infrastructure systems and their associated Network and Information systems.
Top 3 Technical Skills:
- Terraform (Infrastructure Maintenance) – Experience maintaining existing infrastructure using Terraform. This role does not involve new development or infrastructure buildouts; the focus is on ongoing support and maintenance.
- Azure DevOps (CI/CD) – Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines is preferred. Equivalent experience with GitHub or GitLab is also acceptable.
- Azure Cloud Support – Proven experience supporting and maintaining Azure cloud environments.
Additional helpful skill set:

Work Experience
- 5+ Years
- Mix of Development and DevOps experience with Cloud Service Providers (Azure preferred), Continual Integration / Continual Delivery (CI/CD), Logging and Monitoring Tools.
- Proven experience with technologies used to deliver and manage infrastructure environments.
- Advanced ability to document and convey technical information and provide technical guidance to stakeholders regarding operations, system performance, workflow analysis, inventory, and file management.
Skills
- Foundational understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure or AWS).
- Experience using IaC tools (such as Terraform) and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or Saltstack)
- Advanced experience Windows Server Administration
- Familiarity with basic monitoring tools and troubleshooting practices.
- Demonstrated experience with scripting languages.
- Good verbal and written English skills
