As a Principal Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Corporate & Investment Bank's Pricing Technology group, you provide expertise and engineering excellence as an integral part of an agile team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your advanced technical capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes across various technologies to support one or more of the firm's portfolios. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, data platforms, cloud architecture, and Gen AI development to drive and accelerate multiple complex projects and initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop pricing and data workflows and works across teams to drive its implementation
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Makes decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures.
  • Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
  • Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams.
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Establish AI Agentic development workflow for software development, security and controls.
  • Accelerate project delivery and platform modernization with Gen AI development adopting end-to-end process of building, integrating, and deploying applications.
  • Work closely with business product teams in prototyping and rapidly evolving and implementing applications leveraging AI tools

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
  • Experience in enterprise-scale application design, development, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Java, Perl/C & Spring Boot, Databases and cloud-native foundations.
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Executives
  • Proficiency with designing and developing applications on AWS
  • Understanding of Financial products (e.g. Fixed Income Securities, Structured products, Derivatives, Private credit etc.)
  • Understanding of financial reference and market data.
  • Proficiency in AI agentic development (e.g. Claude Code, Co-pilot) in designing, building software and accelerating engineering efficiency
  • Hands-on Python to design, implement, and productionize utilities and services and familiarity with firmwide platforms, such as Athena / SecDB /Quartz platforms.
