Who we're looking for

Toyota's TMNA Paint Production Engineering Department is looking for a dedicated and highly motivated Seibi Technician.

The primary responsibility of this role is to optimize robot programs to ensure high quality results with efficient movements. Act as a function liaison between our body design team, and our reginal robot technicians.

Reporting to an engineering manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Engineering Department's objective to provide new model processes to manufacturing facilities that meet Toyota's high safety, quality, and productivity targets.

What you'll be doing

  • Offline and online robot programming
  • Confirm that new model equipment meets set standards and performs target as intended
  • Prepare and confirm new paint equipment at the vendors
  • Support machine from installation to start of production
  • Develop equipment countermeasures during set up/trials
  • Engage in travel (or dispatch) to U.S., Canada and/or Mexico NAMCs and suppliers, as well as foreign travel including Japan, Canada, Mexico. Commonly work overtime, including weekends and holidays


What you bring

  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Strong understanding of offline teaching, both processes and software
  • Working knowledge of 3D software
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Teams, outlook, power-point, ect.)
  • Understanding of the Toyota way, and Toyota experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% at times (including international travel)
  • Demonstrated success in clear effective report outs


Added bonus if you have

  • 2+ years of Toyota PE experience.
  • 3+ years of Automotive experience.
  • Experience with mentoring and/or technical training
  • Mastery of Carrot 3
  • Proficient in Catia.
