Job Description:
We are looking for an IT Project Manager with at least 7+ years of experience.
Top Desired Skills:
7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
Experience managing complex cross-functional projects involving both business and IT stakeholders.
Strong project planning, risk management, budgeting, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Experience operating within large, matrixed organizations.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, SDLC, and governance processes.
Experience utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support a high-performing technology delivery organization within a leading global life sciences company. This individual will lead medium to large-scale IT initiatives, partnering closely with business and technical stakeholders to drive projects from initiation through deployment.
The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations and managing multiple cross-functional workstreams simultaneously. While this role sits within a data-focused project delivery team, prior Data & Analytics experience is not required. However, candidates who have successfully delivered data, reporting, analytics, integration, or digital transformation initiatives will be viewed favorably.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead medium to large-scale technology initiatives from project initiation through implementation and operational handoff.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource allocations.
Partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, architects, developers, analysts, and vendors to deliver successful outcomes.
Facilitate project governance activities, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and executive updates.
Drive accountability across project teams and proactively manage risks and roadblocks.
Coordinate project activities across multiple technical and functional teams.
Ensure projects are delivered in alignment with organizational PMO and SDLC standards.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party delivery partners as needed.
Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource forecasting activities.
Foster strong relationships with business partners while balancing competing priorities and changing business demands.
