Job Title: eTRM Implementation Specialist
Location: Remote
Role Overview
The eTRM Implementation Specialist serves as the primary liaison between eTrack platform, the eTRM savings calculation system, the Energy Measurement & Verification (EM&V) team, ANB Systems, and Implementation Contractors (ICs).
This role is responsible for ensuring that energy efficiency savings calculations are accurately configured, validated, tested, and reconciled across all participating systems and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will combine expertise in energy efficiency savings methodologies, Technical Reference Manuals (TRMs), system validation, and stakeholder coordination to ensure seamless implementation of annual and mid-year savings calculation updates.
Key Responsibilities
• Review of ANB’s eTRM configuration following each annual and mid-year TRM update to confirm savings formulas have been implemented correctly by EM&V specifications
• Identify and document discrepancies between ANB’s eTRM implementation and EM&V’s intended formula logic
• Escalate formula discrepancies to the EM&V team and ANB, and lead the resolution process to completion
• Maintain working knowledge of current eTRM savings calculations across all active programs and measures
• Build, maintain, and update the IC-to-eTRM measure crosswalk document, mapping IC measure names and codes to client''s eTRM measure taxonomy
• Ensure the crosswalk is updated with each TRM cycle and distributed to all relevant ICs and internal stakeholders before testing begins
• Proactively identify naming or mapping mismatches between IC systems and eTRM that could cause invoice validation failures
• Review and validate IC-submitted test case results to confirm savings calculation configurations align with eTRM
• Lead technical reconciliation when IC savings values diverge from eTRM — working directly with IC technical teams and the EM&V team to resolve differences
• Ensure all measure permutations are covered in IC testing — including building type, equipment type, and equipment size/efficiency tier
• Serve as the day-to-day technical point of contact between ICs and PSE&G during the testing and validation phase of each TRM update cycle
• Document reconciliation outcomes and escalate unresolved issues to the Product Owner
• Maintain clear records of all testing activities, discrepancies, and resolutions for each program year
• Support development of formal IC testing standards, including test case templates and sign-off requirements
• Contribute to post-implementation lessons learned and process improvement efforts
• Coordinate with the IT PM and Product Owner to ensure testing milestones are met within the program year timeline
Qualifications Required
• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency programs, with direct exposure to savings calculations, measure development, or EM&V processes
• Strong working knowledge of energy efficiency measure savings methodologies, including common measure types across residential, C&I, and multifamily programs
• Experience working with or interpreting Technical Reference Manuals (TRMs) or similar regulatory savings documentation
• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve discrepancies between independent savings calculation systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills — ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders including ICs, EM&V staff, and IT teams
Preferred
• Familiarity with eTrack, eTRM, or similar SaaS platforms used for energy efficiency program management and invoice processing
• Experience working directly with Implementation Contractors (ICs) in a QA, testing, or coordination capacity
• Technical background in engineering, data analysis, or systems configuration is a plus
• Experience supporting annual program year updates or transitions in a utility or program administrator environment
• Proficiency with Excel for data analysis, formula validation, and crosswalk documentation
