Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Design and govern web application architecture using microservices, distributed systems, APIs, REST/SOAP services, and service integration patterns.
- Establish Java and Spring Boot engineering standards, database architecture, API security, and cloud solutions using AWS services and serverless technologies.
- Translate business requirements into architectural decisions, estimate technical effort, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
- Lead production support and troubleshooting activities, including root-cause analysis, remediation planning, Agile delivery, GitHub workflows, automation, and AI-assisted development practices.
Minimum Qualifications

Education
|
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience
|
8+ years of professional software development experience with strong experience in application architecture, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and distributed systems.

|
Technical Skills
|
Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, Hibernate/JPA, AWS Cloud Services, Apigee/API Gateway, Relational & Non-Relational Databases

Business / Domain Skills
|

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Apigee, AWS API Gateway, IAM, and serverless application development.
- Experience with GitHub repository management, branch policies, pull requests, code reviews, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong experience leading development teams, coaching technical staff, and delivering complex enterprise application enhancements.
