Job Title: UI Developer
Location: New York, NY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Client Industry: Financial Services
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Schedule: Standard time ( 8 AM EST - 5 PM EST)
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS
- Build and manage application state using modern state management libraries such as Zustand, Redux Toolkit, or similar
- Develop and maintain component libraries and design systems with a focus on reusability and consistency
- Implement component-driven development practices using tools like Storybook
- Architect and develop micro-frontend or module federation-based solutions
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Integrate frontend applications with backend services using REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Leverage Next.js features such as App Router, Server Components, and SSR strategies for improved performance and SEO
- Collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver seamless user experiences
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing strategies
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX engineering, frontend development, or frontend architecture
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS preferred)
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale web applications or user portals with high traffic
- Hands-on experience building and scaling component libraries/design systems
- Solid understanding of state management patterns and tools
- Experience with Next.js, including App Router, SSR, and rendering strategies
- Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization and best practices
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with identity and access management frameworks such as SSO, OAuth2, or SAML
- Hands-on experience building real-time applications using WebSockets, Socket.IO, or similar technologies
- Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture patterns and distributed systems
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $65 - $70 per hour
This reflects base compensation and may vary based on candidate qualifications.
