responsibilities:

• Engineering and Architecture
  • Evaluate industry offerings, open-source options, and standard practices for delivering infrastructure.
  • Develop technical solutions for business applications by creating designs, implementation plans, and assessing risks and resources.
  • Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design, and test solutions.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs using Agile development practices.
  • Outline and implement Application or Web product upgrades and complex system upgrades.
• Platform & Operations
  • Provision builds, configurations, and prepare the runtime infrastructure needed for middleware products.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure collaboratively with team members, vendors, and application owners in the Situational Awareness Environment.
  • Help teams with enterprise incidents, focusing on Application and Web stability through an On-Call rotation.
  • Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management, and key rotations.
• Governance and Compliance
  • Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations and compliance, ensuring teams meet security, reliability, monitoring, and support standards.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation, operational policies, and procedures.
  • Employ monitoring tools, such as Grafana, for business application and operations teams.
  • Monitor Alerts, Batch Failures, and the Service Now Queue.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

qualifications:

Experience & Leadership

4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent experience.

Strong team or technical leadership experience.

Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment.

Technical Skills

3+ years of experience in Application Production Support on Linux and Windows platforms.

3+ years of strong technical troubleshooting skills.

3+ years of basic knowledge of Middleware technologies, including Apache HTTPD and Apache Tomcat.

Understanding of Infrastructure Technologies like Linux, Windows, and Middleware.

Familiarity with outage calls efficiently, triaging any issues, and fixing them.

Ability to troubleshoot Basic HTTP Failures and Basic Java Application Servers issues.

Tools & Knowledge

Understanding of an Incident Management System (ServiceNow preferred).

Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area.

Communication

Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including leadership.

Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
