Position: Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to design, implement, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure supporting customer-facing applications and services. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud platforms, Linux systems, container orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure for secure application and video delivery.
  • Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud environments (AWS EC2, EKS, ALB, IAM, VPC) using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Concourse.
  • Automate operational tasks, improve system reliability, and drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and troubleshoot production issues in real time.
  • Forecast capacity requirements and scale infrastructure to handle traffic growth.
  • Enforce security standards and compliance practices across cloud platforms.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical systems.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications and services.
  • Solve reliability-related issues, ensuring platform stability and uptime.
  • Document architecture, configurations, operational procedures, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in DevOps, SRE, and cloud operations.

Mandatory Skills & Proficiencies:

  • DevOps & SRE practices
  • Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Concourse
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
  • Programming & scripting: Golang, Python, Java, Bash, Rust
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
  • Understanding of database structures and SQL
  • Strong knowledge of security and compliance practices

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cryptography standards and trust primitives (AES, RSA, Elliptic Curve, X.509)
  • Knowledge of IP video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and DRM systems (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay)
  • Experience with HTTP network stack transactions and distributed/microservices architecture
  • Exposure to cloud cost optimization strategies
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Kubernetes
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
