We are seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to act as a feature lead for a technology product. This role involves supporting voice technology, specifically SMS and email notifications, through production support and business-as-usual initiatives. The position requires recent, hands-on development experience and will be based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ensure accountability for feature delivery.
- Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding, and quality.
- Guide the team on work breakdown, execution, planning, and estimation.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a healthy product backlog with clear acceptance criteria.
- Act as a team lead, mentoring team members in skills and engineering practices like peer reviews.
- Lead low-level technical design and conduct code reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Ensure deployment readiness, including production preparation and performance optimization.
- Manage defects and collaborate with developers, testers, and analysts for timely resolution.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Feature Lead or in a similar role within an Agile software development environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Core Java, Spring Camel, UI technologies (Angular/React), RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQL, and JIRA.
Professional Skills: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to solve complex problems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and perform well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the complete Spring framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring RESTful services.
- Deep knowledge of core Java skills such as multi-threading, collections API, and JDBC.
- Experience working with relational databases like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
