As an Embedded Software Engineer working on vision platforms at Apple, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, prototyping, and developing real-time software across the vision devices software stack.
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n7+ years of relevant embedded software experience.\nAccomplished programming skill in C/C++.\nStrong knowledge of operating system internals, silicon architecture, and embedded systems.\nExperience developing kernel drivers, embedded software, or system frameworks.\nStrong analytical and debugging skills with experience resolving problems that span the hardware/software boundary.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, both one-on-one and in group settings\nExperience designing or delivering systems spanning multiple technical domains (e.g., media pipelines, networking, storage, etc.), including end to end integration and system level design ownership.\nFamiliarity with Gen AI coding tools, and experience using them for design, code generation, testing, and debugging.
Experience leading technical initiatives in ambiguous problem spaces, from exploration through architectural definition.\nExperience developing in simulation/emulation environments.\nProven track record of building software optimized for hardware constraints.\nExperience working on systems containing cameras, audio, displays, and latency-sensitive workloads.\nApproaches complex problems with innovative, first-principles thinking.\nFamiliarity with Apple operating systems such as iOS, visionOS, or macOS.\nUnderstanding of Swift programming language.
