DataStage Systems Analyst
Remote/ Candidate will be expected to work 8-hour days, 5 days a week within 8 am to 5 pm ET window to allow for collaboration with other team members

Must have high-speed internet and a Windows Laptop/Desktop to connect to the VDI. This PC must have a currently supported operating system, which is regularly patched, and has updated commercial anti-malware software.
A video camera and headset are required for meetings and communication. To efficiently do the work, an additional monitor and headset is required.

We have an upcoming need for a DataStage Systems Analyst for our Enterprise Integration Team. The successful candidate will work from specifications provided by the Application Tech Lead and ETL Tech Lead. This resource may also work with the ETL Tech Lead on ETL designs when requested.
Note: Some of our previous contract ETL DataStage developers have had the technical ability to perform the work, but were often lacking the business acumen needed for the role. A large part of the role (at least 50%) is being able to understand a business problem. We were finding that they needed to rely on our employees more than expected because they were unable to solve a business problem on their own. Because of this, we would like to see two references included with each resume.
Must Have:
- High proficiency with IBM DataStage; strong preference for version 11.x.
- Extensive DataStage development experience; preferably spanning multiple engagements and technologies.
- DataStage design experience; preferably spanning multiple engagements and technologies.
- Experience in performance monitoring, performance tuning and design for reuse.
- Experience in production support; how to design processes for ease of maintenance, re-startability, etc.
- Experience in QA testing of ETL processes.
- Experience with using DataStage to access multiple DBMS platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, UDB DB2, and DB2Z.
- Ability to understand a business problem and broker a resolution between business partners.
- Excellent communication and documentation, English-language skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other IIS foundational tools such as Information Governance Catalog, Information Analyzer and Business Glossary
- Experience developing solutions that integrate with SAP.
They should have reliable high-speed internet and we will provide a Virtual Desktop. Our Developer Virtual Desktop Infrastructure allows for entitled users to access a virtual compute asset to complete tasks and processes relative to their role and responsibilities. They need to have a Windows laptop/desktop to log into their assigned VDI. They will install Omnissa Horizon Client for Windows on their personal PC or one you provide once they are onboarded. This PC must have a currently supported operating system, which is regularly patched, and has updated commercial anti-malware software. A video camera and headset are required for meetings and communication. To efficiently do the work, an additional monitor and headset is required.
